Schedule
Races are taking place as follows:
9.30h-12.00h: Straight lane races
- Between 9:30 and 12:00 we will start with straight lane races. These races are meant to determine which pool each participant will compete in, to keep the competition as fair as possible.
13.00h-16.30h: Knock out duels
- In the afternoon we will start with the pool races. These will be knock-out races on the slalom course, with two racers competing on the same course at the same time. The fastest racer advances to the next round.
Parking
There will be NO parking available for visitors near the club.
- Parking near train tracks (on the other side of the trainrail crossing) : 60 available spots (yellow on picture) – 3 minute walk to the event
- There is public parking in the streets, but please make sure to keep a close eye on parking regulations!
- Parking available on parking KMTHC (hockey club), follow orange arrows!

Who can join?
Absolutely everyone!
eFoilFest is open to all levels – from curious beginners looking to ride their first full course, to experienced riders aiming to beat the clock and bring home the trophy. There are no restrictions on age or brand: whether you’re riding Lift, Fliteboard, Audi, Takuma or any other efoil, you’re welcome on our water.
New to the sport and don’t own a board (yet)? No problem! WVD Mechelen offers a complete preparation program just for you. This includes a series of training sessions, professional coaching, time to practice on the actual race track, and the use of one of our top-tier PRO Fliteboards during the event itself. It’s your chance to join the action and experience the excitement – even as a first-timer!
How does the race work?
During eFoilFest, we’ll set up two identical race tracks on the water. Riders will go in pairs, each on their own lane, so full focus is on your performance – not other people on your track.
Your goal? Complete the course as fast and as clean as possible. Every participant’s time will be measured with precision timing.
There are no heats or eliminations: you get your run, and your time counts. You’ll be ranked based on your best time, and at the end of the event, the fastest efoiler wins the eFoilFest Trophy!
The course is designed to be fun and challenging, with a mix of turns and straight stretches to test both skill and speed. Whether you’re chasing victory or just your personal best – it’s all about the thrill of the ride.
Prep Program
Get ready in 4 weeks!
OPEN FOR EVERYONE! Whether you’ve already tried e-foiling once or twice, or you’re completely new at it – we’ll get you course-ready in 4 weeks!
- 2 private lessons
- 1 group session with Raf from Efoilservice, Belgian’s official distributor
- Guided participation in 2 open practice days
- 1 group practice session on an actual competition course, with tips & tricks
- Participation in the competition on Saturday August 30th, including goodiebag
- Rent of board, battery, wetsuit and helmet for all sessions, including the competition
